This month's meeting will be held in Dr. Power's park.  The official street address is 900 West Lowell Ave.  Its the same place that casting in the park is held.  The meeting will begin at 6pm with hotdogs, chips and sodas/waters.  This meeting will feature some "101 classes".  Please see the June 2008 Newsletter for more information.  We hope to see you all there.

The Tracy Fly Fisher's are offering scholarships to graduating seniors in San Joaquin county.  Successful applicant's are those that are planning on pursuing careers in conservation or support of fish or fisheries.  Please click here to get the application form for more information (Scholarship Application Form ).  Applicants must complete this scholarship form to be considered for a Tracy Fly Fisher's scholarship.

April's meeting includes a presentation by Rickey Mitchell.

As well as being a kayak fly fishing guide, Rickey Noel Mitchell is a fly fishing and fly tying instructor, professional fly tier, free lance photographer and writer. This career began over fifteen years ago, when Rickey was a struggling artist. He will give a presentation on kayak flyfishing (Rickey Mitchell info).  We'll be metting at the American Legion Hall (Tracy Blvd across from Carl Jr.'s) at 7PM Wednesday, April 16th.  I look forwards to seeing you there.

Guide and Fly Tier Matt "Gilligan" Koles began fly fishing the waters of the Truckee River at the age of 13.  As a guide for Leland Fly Fishing Outfitters in San Francisco and Ace Mountain Hardware and Sports in Truckee, Matt brings over 20 years of experience in fly fishing and tying flies for Truckee River trout.  Matt’s presentation will focus on different techniques, tactics, flies, seasons, and access points for the Truckee River   Matt
